ABOUT Sue

Origin Story
I started my training in nails in 2004, I trained in manicure & pedicure with Carmen Parker at the CND Bridlington Academy (which is now long gone!)
I then went on to train in acrylic and gel enhancements with Carmen.

At the beginning I worked from a home salon in Driffield and also worked in the Bridlington Academy nail salon for about 18 months. After this, I left there to open my own salon in Pocklington. I did an Anatomy and Physiology course in 2006, and qualified in waxing, lash and brow treatments 2008.

I then worked in a couple of other salons in Pocklington on a self employed basis, then one of the salons closed down, so I decided to work from a spare bedroom at home - this worked very well but the business didn’t grow at the rate I wanted.
I worked at Face etc Medispa in York in 2014 as a receptionist two and a half days a week, but continued to carry out treatments for my beautiful clients at home as I had a good loyal client base! Although... working with 14 other women was a bloody nightmare (stop laughing!) I lasted six months!
My sister was opening a hairdressing salon in Beverley and asked me to rent a room there doing my thing. After 10 months I needed to move on as it wasn't very busy - I still worked two days at home at the same time to keep my income stream. At the time it felt like I had to survive or sink!

In amongst all of this I have gained further qualifications in intimate waxing, as well as completing skill building courses with Sweet Squared and wax:one as well as recently training in brow lamination.
