Many clients combine treatments such as brows, lashes, nails and pedicures before holidays, weddings and special occasions. If you are booking both waxing and spray tanning treatments, waxing should always be carried out first (and cannot be carried out on the same day), as freshly waxed skin can affect how the tan develops and may lead to an uneven finish.
BROWS AND LASHES
Well-shaped brows and professionally enhanced lashes can make a noticeable difference while still looking natural and suited to you.
At Sue’s Beauty Room, treatments are tailored around your features, colouring and the finish you’re looking to achieve, whether that’s subtle everyday definition or a more polished look for holidays and special occasions.
Patch testing is required for all new clients at least 48 hours before tinting, brow lamination and lash lift treatments.

LASH TREATMENTS
Lash treatments are designed to enhance your natural lashes while still keeping the results soft, flattering and easy to maintain.

Lash tinting helps create darker, more defined lashes by tinting from root to tip, helping lashes appear fuller and longer without mascara.
Many clients choose a blue/black tint for a stronger, more defined finish, particularly before holidays and special occasions.
LVL Lash Lift
The Nouveau Lashes LVL Lash Lift enhances your natural lashes from the root, helping lashes appear longer, fuller and more lifted without the need for lash extensions.
The treatment includes a lash tint and creates a more open, defined eye appearance while still maintaining a natural overall look.

Results are instant and typically last around 6–8 weeks. Lash serum to promote the health of the lashes is available to purchase in the salon.
Lash Lift Aftercare
For the first 24 hours after treatment:

keep lashes dry
-
avoid steam and heat
-
avoid touching or rubbing lashes
For the first 48 hours:
-
avoid swimming, saunas and steam rooms
-
avoid sleeping directly on lashes where possible
-
avoid lash curlers and perming treatments
To maintain the best results, lashes should not be manipulated into different positions during cleansing, skincare application or sleeping.

Brow lamination helps create fuller-looking, more defined brows by smoothing and setting the brow hairs into shape.

Patch Testing & Brow Aftercare
Patch testing is required for all new clients a minimum of 48 hours before treatment. This is an insurance requirement.
Following Covid, increased sensitivities became more common within the industry, so two different solutions with different active ingredients are now used and patch tested where required for brow lamination treatments.
After treatment:

avoid getting brows wet for 24 hours

avoid steam, saunas and swimming for 48 hours
-
avoid rubbing or manipulating the brow area
-
avoid strong sunlight or UV exposure immediately after tinting

SPRAY TANNING
Professional spray tanning is available for clients wanting a natural-looking glow for holidays, weddings, events or simply everyday confidence.
The focus is always on achieving an even, believable result rather than an overly dark or artificial-looking tan.
Full and half body tanning options are available, with colour tailored to suit your skin tone and desired finish.

SPRAY TAN PREP & AFTERCARE
Before your appointment:
-
exfoliate the skin
-
shave or wax the day before your appointment
-
avoid waxing immediately before or after your tan
After treatment:
-
avoid showering for 4–6 hours
-
moisturise regularly
-
quick showers are recommended over long baths
There’s absolutely no need to feel self-conscious during your appointment. The focus is entirely on achieving an even, natural-looking tan in a comfortable, professional environment.
Most spray tans last around 5–7 days depending on aftercare and skin preparation.
WAXING TREATMENTS
Professional waxing treatments are carried out using premium wax:one products chosen for both performance and comfort.
Different wax systems are used depending on the treatment area:

strip wax for larger areas such as legs, arms and chest

hot wax for intimate areas and sensitive skin
The hot wax adheres to the hair rather than the skin, helping make intimate waxing more comfortable while still achieving excellent results.

Hot wax is used for all intimate waxing and underarms.
WAXING HYGIENE & AFTERCARE
Client comfort, hygiene and skin care are prioritised throughout all waxing treatments.
A strict no double-dipping policy is followed within the salon, meaning each spatula is used once only before being discarded.
For best results:
-
hair should ideally be 4–6 weeks growth for your first appointment (ideal minimum length as long as a grain of rice)
-
regular appointments help maintain smoother results over time
-
exfoliating and moisturising between appointments can help reduce ingrown hairs
After waxing, we recommend avoiding:
-
hot baths or showers
-
fake tan
-
gym sessions
-
swimming
-
direct sun exposure for 24 hours after treatment.
