About Sue
From advanced skin treatments and aromatherapy facials to beauty maintenance and body treatments, Sue’s Beauty Room offers tailored treatments designed around your skin, your concerns and your goals.
With over 20 years of experience, the focus is always on helping clients feel comfortable, confident and genuinely looked after.
HOW IT STARTED
I started training in nails in 2004, studying manicure and pedicure treatments with Carmen Parker at the CND Bridlington Academy.
I then went on to train in acrylic and gel enhancements before continuing my education with anatomy and physiology training in 2006, followed by qualifications in waxing, lash and brow treatments in 2008.
At the beginning of my career, I worked from a home salon in Driffield while also gaining experience within a busy nail salon environment at the Bridlington Academy.
After around 18 months, I opened my own salon in Pocklington and continued building my client base and treatment experience.
BUILDING SUE'S BEAUTY ROOM
Over the years I’ve worked within different salon environments while continuing to grow my own loyal client base and expand my treatment knowledge.
In 2014 I worked within a busy medispa environment in York alongside continuing treatments with my own clients, gaining valuable experience within professional skincare and advanced beauty treatments.
I also spent time working from a salon space in Beverley before continuing to grow Sue’s Beauty Room into the business it is today.
Alongside running the salon, I have continued investing in further professional training over the years, including advanced intimate waxing, brow lamination, level 3 electrical facials, skin peels, microneedling and specialist training courses with both Sweet Squared and wax:one.
Ongoing education is incredibly important to me and allows me to continue offering professional, up-to-date treatments tailored to each client.
Whether you visit for regular maintenance appointments or more advanced skin treatments, my aim has always been to create a welcoming, professional environment where clients feel comfortable, looked after and confident in the treatments they’re receiving.
